Wide Width Shoes

Since feet come in all different sizes, it's only natural that shoes need to be available in all different sizes as well. Most peoples feet are medium in width and it's that width that shoe manufacturers put most of their product sizes towards. Well for people with either narrow feet or wide feet it's just not that simple. People with narrow feet or wide often have trouble finding shoes they need or want to wear because most shoes aren't made in any other with except a medium width known as a D width. A Narrow width known as a B width is one of the hardest widths to find. I know because my father has narrow feet and often has trouble finding B width shoes. Most of the time shoes are made in varying widths is when they are a basic type of shoe such as any of the traditional dress shoes and loafers. Good luck trying to find any trendy styled footwear in a wide width. Quite often shoe makers will manufacture a shoe that has some give in the size so people with wide feet will be able to wear them too if they step up a half size in the shoe. The only problem is that by doing that the shoe may be wider but it will also be a little too big in length. Now this trick might work with casual shoes with all kinds of cushioning inside like sneakers but you simply won't be able to do that with dress shoes because dress shoes just don't have that kind of leeway. With dress shoes, they either fit or they don't and that's why it is necessary to make wide width shoes.
