Wearing Penny Loafers with a Suit

Many people love their penny loafers so much that they pretty much want to wear them all the time. I don't blame them really. I love penny loafers too. I do see many people wearing them while wearing a suit. Now if you happen to work as an attorney or in the courthouse. Perhaps you work in a school. Fine go ahead and wear those penny loafers. Now if you work in the corporate world, that's a whole different story. No penny loafers with a suit. Why, you ask. Because technically penny loafers are casual shoes. The work loafer should be the giveaway here. In the work place there should be no loafing even your shoes. The penny loafer simply doesn't belong there. Remember, penny loafers are casual shoes for casual dress such as khakis and jeans. Now there are some loafers that are more dressy than penny loafers but these delve into fashionable attire to wear with perhaps an Armani suit, not a brooks brothers suit. When you are wearing a business suit such as brooks brothers,hickey freeman and the like, you need to wear some sort of an oxford dress shoe. Save the penny loafers for play time.
