Properly Fitting Shoes

Now I've been saying this to my shoe customers for over twenty five years. "If the shoe doesn't feel right when you first put it on it'll feel worse after the shoes have been on your feet for a while." Properly fitting shoes and boots are very important because if you're feet don't feel right you won't feel right. The shoe or boot should fit just right lengthwise and width wise. The shoes should not be snug to the point of cramping your feet nor should they be too loose. If the shoes are too tight your feet will be hurting you either sooner or later. If the shoes are too loose they will feel uncomfortable because of the sloppy feel. They should fit like a glove for your feet. Shoes need to fit properly otherwise you could aquire foot problems ranging from corns,callouses and bunions which sometimes require surgery. So when trying on shoes try them on a carpeted surface and take a few steps in them and also try to shuffle your foot in the shoe back and forth and see if there is any slippage if they are too loose.
