If you're a big fan of the HBO series "Boardwalk Empire" like I am you'll appreciate the great story and the fantastic clothing that they have the characters wear that were in style during the days of Prohibition. In one of the later episodes of the first season of the series, Special Agent Nelson Van Alden has strong suspicions that his co-worker, Agent Sebso is on the take from the bootleggers and one day looks down at the agent's shoes and notices that he is wearing brand new Men Wingtip Shoes. Just the fact, that he strongly suspects that Agent Sebso is being corrupted by the Criminals in the Liquor business is bad enough but seeing those brand new Men Wingtip shoes on his feet almost makes him snap. He immediately barks at him inquiring where did he get the money to buy a new pair of men wingtip shoes. Knowing full well that an FBI agent's salary is quite modest and it would be extremely difficult for him to afford such nice new wingtip shoes. You see, Agent Sebso wasn't wearing some cheap looking plain styled oxford shoes that a normal agent would be wearing on his feet but a beautiful luxurious pair of Full Brogue Men Wingtip Shoes that would be next to impossible for him to afford. Wingtip shoes with all the perforation brogue detailing that would be the top of the line style. Agent Sebso gave Special Agent Van Alden the answer that he had been saving up for those Men Wingtip shoes for a long time and how dare him insinuate that he had gotten the money through some illegal way to buy those wingtip shoes that he was wearing. But Agent Van Alden wasn't quite satisfied with that answer but left the argument at that. He had other plans for the corrupted agent in his organization that would be disclosed later in the episode.
