Bass Shoes-How to Properly Care for Them

You just received your brand new pair of Bass Shoes from ShoesandBootsNow.com. You tried them on and they fit great. Now you want to hit the ground running. Stop right there. I recommend using only a paste wax like Kiwi to polish your new shoes with. Cream pastes are no where nearly as protective for your leather shoes so disregard the thought of using them. Liquids. Take an old toothbrush and apply that shoe polish in a circular manner not much different than the way you would polish your car. Get the wax into all those nooks and crannies on the leather uppers of your Bass shoes and let them sit a minute or two. I recommend two. Let the polish really get time to sink into the leather. Ready, Now grab that horsehair shoe shine brush and start bufffing them in a rhythmic manner until you start to see that leather shine. Now do the other shoe. Done. Now you're ready to take on the world in your new leather Bass Shoes.

If your new Bass shoes are made of suede or nubuck suede which is a finer suede, don't even think about wearing them until you perform this suede shoe saving ritual. Get a can of silicone water and stain repellent spray for leather and suede. Get in a well ventilated area and spray them down all over. Let them sit an hour or two. Now spray your suede Bass shoes again. Give it a good spraying. Now let your shoes sit overnight. Your suede bass shoes are now completely water repellent and they won't stain either. Whenver they get a little dirty. Take a clean stiff brush and clean the dirt off and retreat your shoes.
